SEPLA MEMBERSHIP
SEPLA membership application forms for both SEPLA full members and associate members are now available.Your membership fees and registration also include membership with our national body ASEPA (The Australian Special Education Principals’ Association). Full membership will entitle the member:
(i) to have a right to participate in all votes related to the election of office bearers within the association and to nominate for any position within the association;
(ii) participate in meetings and professional development activities convened by the association;
(iii) be entitled to attend and participate in the Annual General Meeting of the Association in accordance with 4.2 of the Constitution;
(iv) Be added to the ListServe electronic communications and receive notices, reports, newsletters, journals as they are published by the association;
(v) attend state conferences convened by the association at the association rate;
(vi) upon written request to the Secretary be entitled to inspect, by appointment, all books, documents, records and property of the Association;
(vii) have the right to be consulted and have input into the decision making processes as determined by the association and
(viii) have access to the association’s website.
Associate membership will entitle the member to:
(i) participate in meetings and professional development activities convened by the association;
(ii) be entitled to attend and participate in the Annual General Meeting of the Association in accordance with 4.2 of the Constitution;
(iii) be added to the ListServe electronic communications and receive notices, reports, newsletters, journals as they are published by the association;
(iv) attend state conferences convened by the association at the association rate;
(v) have the right to be consulted and have input into the decision making processes as determined by the association
(vi) have the right to nominate and participate in sub-committees and working parties as nominated by the Executive Committee and
(vii) have access to the association’s website.
Life Membership will entitle the recipient to:
(i) honorary annual membership of the Association;
(ii) daily attendance at Annual Conference and
(iii) attendance at a special function, held during Annual Conference, as a guest of the Association.
WHAT'S NEW AT SEPLA
The COVID situation continues to be a grave concern across the country but
especially for our colleagues in Victorian Special Schools who enter their 8th week
of hard lockdown. It is important that in our dealings with state and territory
associations and members we are cognisant of the very different situations and
realities that exist.
The Special Education Principals' and Leaders' Association (SEPLA) put out the call for our schools and members to tell us what the SSP Supplemental Funding has meant to our students, teachers and schools, how they are using it and what have been the outcomes so far.
We are proud to inform you that we will be producing a new eNewsletter format with Schoolzine. The purpose of moving to this new format is to engage the our SEPLA members more effectively and provide a more effective and content rich newsletter format. This new format will include videos, image galleries, online bookings, feedback forms, calendars, an app and much much more.
